Amy Sze

Amy Sze(14), studies violin with Aimée Kreston of the Colburn School of Performing Arts and attends Crossroads School for Arts and Science in Santa Monica. She has been a soloist with the Antelope Valley Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony, Santa Maria Philharmonic, Montecito International Music Festival Chamber Orchestra, and the Palisades Symphony as a result of winning their concerto competitions. She has also been a featured concerto soloist with the New World Baroque Orchestra.
The Maestro Foundation has generously loaned Amy the use of a Matthieu Devuyst violin and Michael Yates bow.
Amy is member of three full scholarship chamber music programs: the Colburn Honors Piano Trio; the Young Musicians Foundation Chamber Series and the Music Academy of the West's Merit Program.
She is a member of the Crossroads EMMI Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Alex Treger and a member of the Eastern Sierra Symphony under Edwin Outwater.
This summer, Amy has been invited to join the National Arts Centre's Precollege Young Artists Program in Ottawa, Canada.
Amy's solo and chamber groups masterclass teachers have included Peter Wiley, Alex Treger, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, Elizabeth Pitcairn, Movses Pogossian, Peter Salaff, Clarisse Atcherson, Steven Miahky, Scott Yoo, David Garrett, Jeremy Denk and Brooklyn Rider.
