Mecca Menard, age 16, lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She began violin lessons at the age of 6 with Nicki Stieda. Mecca attends the arts program at Lord Byng Secondary Mini School and is Concertmaster of the Lord Byng Symphony Orchestra. She has received numerous scholarships and awards and was recently a winner of the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Mecca has also performed at the Casalmaggiore International Festival in Italy and Interlochen Arts camp in Michigan. She currently studies with Taras Gabora.
