Fangyue He
China

Fangyue He was born in Shanghai, China, in 1987 and began studying the violin at age 4. Fangyue greatly improved her violin skills with Professor Zhao Jiyang and Huang Chenxing. She was able to study with these teachers in both Primary and Middle schools from 1996 to 2005. Both schools are affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
In 2001, Fangyue won the 4th prize (in the under 16 category) in the 7th National Violin Competition and was selected to particpate in the Morningside Music Bridge workshop in Canada. The next year Fangyue attended the Perlman Music Program in Shanghai and performed with the school orchestra in the U.S.A. She was recruited into the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in the fall of 2005 where she studied with Professor Zheng Shisheng for a year.
Fangyue is currently studying with Professor Ida Kavafian at the Bard College Conservatory of Music.
